Drighlington BC was formed in 1925 and has staged many events since that time. Club membership is predominantly from around the Leeds area, but extends across all parts of West Yorkshire. The Club has grown in size in recenet year and the membership now stands at 37. Most of our members are active racing cyclists, competing in various time trial and cyclo-cross events.
We are a welcoming friendly Club with members of all ages who meet at various times through the week for rides and socialise together at other times. We are always on the lookout for new members. If you are interested in joining please contact us through the website here.
There are a range of abilities in the club, from people who are new to competitive cycling to experienced time trialers who can give anyone wanting to learn more about the sport useful advice. All levels of experience and fitness are catered for and supported.
At the Annual Club Dinner in 2010 Mick Phillips received a life time achievement award. This was not only for his services to the Club, where he has been president for many years, but for his cycling achievements over the years. Mick's name has appeared regulary over the years on most (if not all) of the Club's trophies.
